Featured Projects

Cross-Lingual Bias Research (CS376) - Spring 2026

Machine Learning research project in CS376 conducted with a partner in Google Colab. We studied cross-lingual bias in LLMs by prompting the same questions in typologically distinct languages (English, Japanese, Korean, Bengali, Arabic) and evaluating response quality with the openai/MMMLU multilingual benchmark.

Google Colab LLM Evaluation Multilingual NLP Tokenization Analysis
  • Assessed whether response quality varies across languages despite semantically equivalent prompts
  • Investigated tokenizer coverage, token count, morphological complexity, and training data representation
  • Focused on language families with different word orders: SVO, SOV, and VSO

ClearPath - Spring 2026

24-hour hackathon entry for Calvin University's "Called to Create" theme in Spring 2026: a driving assistant mobile app built with React Native, FastAPI, and YOLOv8. It supports visually disadvantaged and aging drivers with real-time audio cues in four student-recorded languages.

React Native FastAPI YOLOv8 Accessibility

ToneMatch - Spring 2026
